Helmet that matches Dragonplate Armour?

Post » Mon May 28, 2012 12:00 pm

I'm just wondering if there's a helmet that matches the dragon-plate Armour? The Dragonplate Helmet doesn't really match it IMHO.

Personally I wear Krosis, and it fits pretty well.

I'm sure you'll find something for your tastes.

Dragon Priest helms are always neat but since you are looking for heavy armor I would say Daedric probably. Krosis is Light Armor not Heavy Armor and you asked what goes well with dragon PLATE not dragon scale which makes me assume you want heavy.

I don't care about stats, I'm talking about looks. And I'll go with anything that matches Dragonplate Armour's theme/look.

you are just going to have to find items and them test them out yourself then. I mean, I don't see why the Dragon helm doesn't fit for dragon armor in your opinion so I can't really help you and I am not sure anyone really could. The armor itself is extremely spiky so I don't see much really matching up with the armor itself other than something equally spiky. I like Ebony helms, daedric, dragon, dragon priest, etc.

If you are in it just for visuals try no helmet at all then you can see your character's features?

I know this isn't dragon armor but have you tried to get Beothiah's ebony mail? It is fantasticamazing. Poisons enemies when they get too close and also makes it easier to sneak with it on. Oh, and it is sixy ebony. As long as you have the arcane smithing you can improve it at a workbench too for more defense. I use that and the shield from Peryite and I can block guys all day while they just get poisoned.

personally right now my level 34 is using Otar. It is a dragon priest helm that adds 30% elemental resists to all 3. It is nice when using the block perk to add to elemental resists and using peryite's shield. Dragon's come to breathe on me and they can't hurt me fast enough. My health just keeps regenerating because I also have health regeneration items on lol. Not to mention I am using Boethiah's armor that poisons them, so I just block and they die.

I wonder if the Nightingale hood would look good with it? It isn't spiky like the armor but oh the mask and eyes are sixy

There are heavy armor versions of those too, the dragon priest near the end of the main quest drops one, and others drop some too.

Here is my character and follower currently at level 34: http://i.imgur.com/e3Y9yh.jpg

Armor: http://i.imgur.com/hdYYFh.jpg
Necklace: http://i.imgur.com/mPS9oh.jpg
Helmet: http://i.imgur.com/YZPMfh.jpg
Shield: http://i.imgur.com/Wi8lbh.jpg
Ring: http://i.imgur.com/RGLy9h.jpg

I don't think you HAVE to have Dragonplate if you don't want to. It isn't necessary. I will probably completely skip dragon plate (well.. for myself.. I will craft it for my follower since I hate collecting Daedra hearts) and go straight to Daedric Armor for my character. That is if I can give up all these awesome bonuses I get from these daedric items. :\

Oh I know that, it's just that Dragonplate is armour better looking than Daedric IMO... I can't stand that tattered cloth/skirt/kilt on Daedric armour.

If you're going for looks, and not stats, I think no helmet at all looks really cool. Makes you look more like a main character and less like a nameless soldier.

Just keep your eyes out. You know, for my next character I will probably play with whatever looks good too instead of going for best character possible. I really like the redguard scimitar and the Alik'ir hood. Gonna do a dual wielding sand pirate.

In general, helms in games (all games in my memory - and I played my first CRPG in 1985....) are just ICK. Find a really cool circlet and enchant it with something beneficial. MUCH nicer IMO.
